Activation Methods
The method depends on your head unit type and NBTEvo software version. We'll confirm which applies to your vehicle when you share your VIN.
💾 NBT — USB Stick
For vehicles with the older NBT head unit (typically pre-2015). Simple plug-and-play — plug the USB stick in and the activation applies automatically.
No laptop or ENET cable required.
💾 NBTEvo — USB Activation
For NBTEvo head units on the versions listed below. Activation file sent to your email — copy to USB, plug into your BMW or MINI and it applies automatically.

🔗 NBTEvo — ENET Cable
For later NBTEvo versions, activation requires an ENET cable and a remote session with our technician. Session takes approximately 20 minutes.
